Bill and Lisa are the proud parents of Judith Elizabeth Anderson, born September 18, 2007. This event completely redirected their lives and sparked an intense interest in children’s educational development. 

In searching for a way to aid our child to reach her fullest potential, we decided that nuturing the DESIRE to read was our goal. During our search, we came across Educational Development Corporation (EDC), parent to Usborne Books & More and Kane Miller Book Publishers. Several facts about the product line impressed us, so much so that we joined the company through their business opportunity program.

As for our research on the best way to nuture our child's desire to read? The method (and reasoning behind it) that makes the most sense to us is presented by Jim Trelease in The Read Aloud Handbook. Basically, all this requires is reading aloud to your children, regardless of age. The child determines the duration, your job is to make it a fun, valuable experience for them using interactivity through inflections and questions.
